How Can We Define Success?

How Can We Define Success?

If you were asked to define success, what would be your answer? Chances are you have never given it a second thought.

There are possibly as many different definitions as there are people. Lets consider some of them, if you were to ask a businessman he would probably say success was earning lots of money. A sports coach might say that winning the gold medal at the Olympics equals success, a sales rep would say being the number one sales person in the company was his idea of success.

Success means different things to different people; you may have your own very personal definition. Success is more that any of the above definitions. We must think in greater depth about the true meaning of success.Some of the worlds most evil persons acquire great fortunes by oppressing the weaker members of society would we call that success, I think not.

Success is not acquiring shed loads of money, as having money does not make a person successful. So, how can we define success, one quote I have heard and like goes like this: Success is the progressive realisation of pre determined and worthwhile goals.

Therefore if we set up our Predetermined long-term goal and work steadily towards it by using stepping-stones, for example, micro goals, mini goals, short term, medium term, we should with balance and determination arrive at our destination.We can place as many stepping stones on our route as we wish, after all it our journey and is therefore a personal one.

As we set out to achieve our goal we can motivate our selves with the promise of a special gift each time we take a step closer, for example for a micro goal we could promise to reward ourselves with special treat, like a box of chocolates or a nice shirt tie or blouse.

Bit of psychology here: remember it is important that you actually reward yourself if you have promised to do so, if you do not your sub conscience will view you as a fibber and will not be as motivated to help on your journey to success.

Make your rewards commensurate with the value of each step, so your Mini goal might be a special night out with a loved one or great friend, short term goals maybe a weekend away, medium term a week away, and of course for your long term goal something really special, you choose, then start again. Set a new goal.

Balance;
To achieve success in our lives we need to have balance. We need balance in our spiritual lives, we need balance in our family lives, and we need balance in our business/work lives. Time management becomes important here, we must set aside the correct amount of time to spend on each of these areas of our lives.

Of what benefit would being successful in business or sport be if on the journey we lost our family and friends, what benefit if we lose our good health, what benefit if we lost our way spiritually.

Belief;
To be successful in anything we must believe that we can achieve that success, develop a burning desire for the things you want in life, the stronger you make this desire, the greater your success will be.

Help;
How can I help you?

This is, I think were we need to surround ourselves with like- minded positive persons to help us on our journey, people who are on the same route as we are, committed to their journey to success, people who understand the importance of having a dream.

I have found such a team.

Finding a route;
If your route to success involves social media marketing, network marketing, affiliate marketing or MLM, you need to choose carefully from the thousands of marketing systems on offer these days, carefully research each one before committing your hard earned cash as there are many pit falls to be avoided.

I have been down that route and found many of the systems to be poorly produced and difficult to follow, there are also many very good systems in the attraction-marketing scene. If you have little knowledge of how to work within this industry and would like an insight as to what is possible for the complete beginner, be my guest and have a look at our FREE 3 day course here: http://www.kenneth-adams.com

How You Can Define Success?

Everyone wants to have success in his life but what is success? This idiom means different to everyone, and everyone describes it in his contexts. Many people view success in terms of worthwhile life, lucrative career, plenty of material things, wallet full of money and enough power to exercise. But is this all to have in name of a successful life? What success means is living your life according to your own preset priorities. Success is what you make it. It means to satisfy your soul and when get old enough then look back with pride & gratitude. Let\'s get this success mantra today.
Identify your goal in the beginning and each step that will be taken towards it, no matter how insignificant it is, it contributes little towards destination. When you are looking at a successful person and defining the charisma for you, just be sure about what is the attractive thing for you. Is it his salary? Is it his position in society or his living style? These can be the individual motives while teams have unified goals of success.
People will start getting understand your definition of success though your deeds and urge. For instance, a person might want to be a Managing Head of company, while for another success means to get a job where he can adjust his schedule flexibly and take out time for family. Define your value in your own terms; consider what type of success can glee you. Do you value your time with your family or your time working in office? Be clear about your urge, practice self-examining, make your goals understandable and gaze at where you are now and where you want to be. What are the things that you must consider on the path of success?
The final step towards success is the execution of your plans. If you are really serious about success, set up your course of action. It must be a series of steps that are necessary to attain the ultimate thing that have defined as success. There must be a small regular dose of action that adds up unknowingly to the big cause, and final outcome will be amazing. One thing to remember always that success needs consistent pace, hard work and self-discipline. It is not something that comes with birth but it comes to people who deserve it and make it happen and continuously strive for that.
Failure is nothing on this way, each step is meant not to discourage you but to make you shine somewhere. It is a part of success so don\'t step back and never stop trying, not a single setback should keep you away from successful finale.

These are few steps summed up here to define success. But always keep one thing in mind, your success needs you to define it, identify it, and conquer it. Set your own standards and achieve satisfaction for your life, soul and everything you want to do.

Many people have selective hearing. That is, they hear only what they are listening for. When such people tune in to the notion of getting rich on the Web, they can't seem to hear anything else. They are deaf to the news of dot-com failures in mass. Deaf to the certain doom that lies at the end of any path claimed to be quick or easy. And deaf to any mention of how tough it is to succeed in business anywhere, online or offline.
If you have fallen into this trap, there are only two options. Continue on your chosen path and fail. Or redefine what success means to you, then begin working to achieve it.

Getting Rich Is Unlikely
It is no easier to become wealthy online than offline.
The only advantage to beginning a business online, rather than offline, is in the lower startup costs. The rest of it is work, learning, then implementing what you learn.
What are your chances of opening a new business in your home town and becoming a Millionaire? Unless you have very special talents and skills, it's unlikely. The chances of doing so on a website are no better.

Would Making A Living Suit You?
Do you have what it takes to open a business on main street and earn a comfortable living? If you lack essential information, are you willing to take the time to hunt it up? If there are things you do not know, are you willing to learn them? If you lack needed skills, are you prepared to develop them?
One who can answer a resounding, "Yes," to the above questions, can succeed. Online or offline. Until you can shout this right out loud to your family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers on the street, any effort to build a successful website will break your heart. And waste a ton of your time. And more than a few bucks.

One Path
If you want to succeed on the Web, you must first come to grips with what you mean by success. If your definition can be simplified to making a good living with the opportunity to make more, then all is quite doable. And one of the best ways to start is to begin part time and grow your business as you learn.

Getting Real
Whether you have started a business or are still only thinking about doing so, you may find it informative to check out some successful sites. Successful, that is, according to the definition of their owners.

Common Elements
While the following sites may appear quite different from one another, they have much in common.

Nobody is making a million bucks a year; this was not the goal. Rather they are making a living (their definition) and are in an excellent position to increase their income.

The site designs are quite simple; very few fancy graphics are to be found.

Each site is well focused.

Each site is loaded with content.

Some face stern competition; others have carved their niche and conquered it.

You will probably note ways in which each site can be improved. But this is true of any site, large or small. And it's true of yours. And mine.
